Daily Itinerary

Arrival

Arrive into Maun Airport. You'll be greeted by your lodge company and your charter services, who will transfer you by charter aircraft to Tubu Tree

Day 1 & 2

Tucked away on Hunda Island in the Jao Concession of the Okavango Delta, Tubu Tree is a small, traditional-style tented camp that punches well above its weight when it comes to wildlife encounters. With just eight tents accommodating a maximum of sixteen guests, the camp maintains that intimate, exclusive atmosphere that makes you feel like you've got the place to yourself. What makes Hunda Island special is that it's the largest area of permanently dry land in this part of the Delta, which means it attracts an incredible diversity of animals – from water-loving species like red lechwe and hippos to plains game like zebra, wildebeest, and giraffe. But Tubu Tree is particularly famous for one thing: leopards. The island has an exceptional leopard population, and sightings are remarkably consistent here.

Day 3 & 4

Qorokwe sits in a private concession in the southeastern part of the Okavango Delta, right on the border of Moremi Game Reserve. The name translates to something like "the place where the buffalo broke through the bush into the water," which gives you a good sense of what you're in for. The camp overlooks a beautiful lagoon that's fed by the Santantadibe River, and because there's permanent water here year-round, the wildlife viewing is consistently excellent. The surrounding landscape is classic Delta territory – a mix of mopane woodland, palm-dotted islands, seasonal floodplains, and meandering waterways.

Day 5 - 7

Mokete is one of those camps that feels like it shouldn't exist – tucked into the remote Mababe Depression between the Okavango Delta and Chobe, in an area that was closed to tourism for years. The name means "feast" in Sesotho, which is pretty fitting when you see the sheer amount of wildlife that congregates here. This place is all about the grasslands and seasonal wetlands that act like a magnet for animals during the dry season. We're talking massive buffalo herds – some numbering in the thousands – along with the lion prides that shadow them. The landscape shifts between open plains that remind you of the Serengeti, mopane woodlands where leopards lurk, and marshy areas filled with hippos and crocs.

Day 8

Today your safari ends and you exit by light aircraft to Maun in time for your international departures or onwards travel.
