Qorokwe sits in a private concession in the southeastern part of the Okavango Delta, right on the border of Moremi Game Reserve. The name translates to something like "the place where the buffalo broke through the bush into the water," which gives you a good sense of what you're in for. The camp overlooks a beautiful lagoon that's fed by the Santantadibe River, and because there's permanent water here year-round, the wildlife viewing is consistently excellent. The surrounding landscape is classic Delta territory – a mix of mopane woodland, palm-dotted islands, seasonal floodplains, and meandering waterways.
Both North and South camps are stunning examples of contemporary safari design. Everything is raised on wooden platforms and connected by elevated walkways, giving you that treehouse perspective while keeping you safe when elephants wander through.
