Detailed Description

These 3 camps are chosen for their quality accommodation and the fantastic game rich areas in which they are situated.

Chobe Chilwero is an impressive Lodge built into the banks of the Chobe River and just outside the National Park. The camp affords fantastic views over the river itself and offers game drives, boat cruises and a luxury spa. A great way to “pamper” yourself into a safari.

Chiefs Camp is one of the best camps in Africa and sits on the water-locked Chiefs Island, where game is extremely abundant providing you with impressive excursions. Chiefs Island is within the borders of the Moremi Game Reserve.

Stanley’s camp is in a wilder area that we think is very underrated. As it is a private concession, the activities allow you to drive off road and undertake night drives.

Daily Itinerary

Arrival

Arrive into Kasane Airport. You'll be greeted by your transfer to Chobe Chilwero

Day 1 & 2

Perched on a hilltop overlooking the magnificent Chobe River, Chobe Chilwero is one of Botswana's most luxurious safari lodges. The name "Chilwero" actually means "high view" in the local language, and that's exactly what you get – absolutely stunning panoramic vistas across the floodplains and islands stretching all the way to Namibia.

Day 3 & 4

The camp was completely renovated and reopened in 2016, and they've done a stunning job balancing luxury with authenticity. Everything's built into the existing landscape under a gorgeous canopy of mature jackalberry, sausage, and rain trees. The main area is split-level with the upper deck housing the dining room, bar, curio shop, library, and reception – all with expansive views over the northern floodplains. Down below there's a beautiful swimming pool where you can cool off while watching elephants and buffalo wander past.

Moremi Game Reserve

Day 5 - 7

What sets Stanley's apart is its location on a vast private concession, which means guides can venture off-road, conduct night drives, and lead walking safaris – activities that aren't permitted in the national parks. The area is known for substantial buffalo herds that can number over two thousand, along with healthy populations of lion, leopard, and wild dog. There are several active hyena dens near camp that provide fascinating viewing opportunities. Game drives typically include thrilling water crossings as vehicles navigate through flooded areas, and when water levels are right, guests can explore the channels by mokoro for a more tranquil perspective.

Day 8

Today your safari ends and you exit by light aircraft to Maun in time for your international departures or onwards travel.
