Detailed Description

This 14 night 6 lodge tour is an extension to our popular Fever Berry tour and offers the same great value.

Visiting 6 quality lodges, the tour initially takes you through Chobe National Park, staying on the Chobe floodplains with game drives and sunset boat cruises. Next on to a private concession in Linyanti, and a second private concession in the central areas of the Okavango Delta. These camps provide you with a diversity of vegetation in exceptional game viewing areas where the focus is on wildlife viewing.

The extension of this tour takes you to the arid areas of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and then finally on to Nxai Pan National Park. Both regions are completely different to those of the northern areas offering a total contrast in flora and fauna.

This tour will give you the broadest spectrum that Botswana offers, staying in quality camps with all transfers being by light aircraft.

Daily Itinerary

Arrival

Arrive into Kasane Airport. You'll be greeted by Chobe Elephant camp who will transfer you by road to their lodge

Day 1 & 2

Chobe Elephant Camp maintains the strong ethos that the owners wish to portray, that of being an eco-friendly camp at an affordable rate…. we believe that they have achieved this admirably. These days it is very difficult for any lodge in the Chobe River Front area to keep the enigmatic name and history of “Chobe” alive. This region is not quite what its used to be and the Kasane end is now swamped with lodges and their vehicles gaining entry into the park. Chobe Elephant Camp is away from all the hustle & bustle and some 50 kilometers south at the other end of the park on the edge of the Chobe Forest Reserve. The benefits are that you are in a much quieter and private area and gain access to the National Park in a far less busy area… so you get get all the advantages at a very reasonable price. Its a very good 3 star Lodge.

Day 3 - 5

Lagoon is perched on the banks of the wild Kwando River, overlooking the Mudumu National Park in the Namibian Caprivi Strip. The camp is nestled beneath towering ebony and marula trees and accommodates up to 16 guests in eight traditionally styled ‘tents.’ The heavily forested site is home to a wide variety of birds and mammals, while elephant and hippo are normally visible from the camp. The stunning views and close proximity of wildlife all contribute to the pervading sense of calm at Lagoon. Lagoon underwent a complete rebuild and was re-opened in March 2011. Nestled under ebony and marula trees the spacious, thatched covered rooms are the perfect place to relax during the day and soak up the atmosphere while looking across the lagoon towards Namibia. The thatched main area of the camp is multi-level, the top area being the library which almost always has a breeze sweeping through. The main area was designed to fit perfectly into the natural landscape and allow views of the river and wetlands from all areas. Just past the bar/lounge area is the plunge pool, and it’s a short meander to the deck where a comfortable swing chair awaits.

Day 6 - 8

The camp's approach to safari emphasizes expertise and intimate wildlife encounters. Each game drive vehicle carries both a professional guide and a dedicated tracker—a dual-person system that dramatically increases the likelihood of meaningful wildlife sightings. Morning, afternoon, and evening game drives penetrate the surrounding wilderness, with nocturnal expeditions revealing creatures active after dark. Walking safaris, particularly around Maboa Island, offer ground-level perspectives on woodland species including sable antelope and roan antelope. Water activities consist of traditional mokoro canoe trips conducted during seasons when water levels permit, allowing silent, contemplative navigation through papyrus-lined channels.

Day 9 & 10

Pom Pom is on the western Edge of the Moremi Game Reserve, it is a classically styled camp in a wet and dry area where the game is proving to be very good taking the last few years into consideration. The lodge is nice and open and you will feel happy that you came here as it’s very restful, just sitting and enjoying the seemingly tropical environment keeps well with this camps relaxing theme. Excellent mokoro and game drives are undertaken with the chance to do some walking safaris, so the activities are quite varied and you will not be disappointed as long as you do not expect huge herds of game. The game is here but we would certainly say that it is not prolific… but you never know, as this could be case pretty much anywhere.

Okavango Delta

Day 11 & 12

The camp's strategic position on ancient sand dunes provides commanding views across seemingly endless plains that stretch to the horizon. The name "Tau" translates to "lion" in Setswana, reflecting the area's most celebrated residents—the distinctive black-maned Kalahari lions whose deep roars echo across the desert landscape. The Central Kalahari Game Reserve encompasses over 50,000 square kilometers of vast, arid terrain interspersed with pans and valleys, with wildlife populations widely dispersed across this enormous reserve in stark contrast to the concentrated densities of the Okavango Delta.

Central Kalahari

Day 13 - 14

The landscape transforms dramatically with seasons. During dry months, the pans become desolate expanses where wildlife congregates around permanent waterholes, creating opportunities to observe gemsbok, springbok, hartebeest, giraffe, and predators including lions, cheetahs, and wild dogs. Rainy season abundance converts the landscape into lush grasslands teeming with herbivore concentrations that attract predators. Over 300 bird species inhabit the area, with exceptional diversity during wetter months when migratory species arrive alongside resident populations.

Day 15

Today your safari ends and you exit by light aircraft to Maun in time for your international departures or onwards travel.
