The camps are traditional bush camps with perhaps less of the flair of some of the more opulent camps without sacrificing the “safari” aspect. The Greater Linyanti is the land of the large herds of buffalo and elephant, whilst the Khwai area is known for its strong numbers of predators including regular visits from packs of wild dog.

This is an excellent and more affordable lodge safari which visits areas of high activity, the tour includes a complimentary helicopter “bush” flight which is not to be missed.

The real magic of Linyanti lies in its extraordinary wildlife viewing opportunities. The area is legendary for massive elephant herds that follow the Linyanti River during winter months, along with substantial buffalo populations. All the big cats are present—lions, leopards, and cheetahs—plus the highly sought-after African wild dog, considered one of the continent's rarest predators. The wetlands also harbor hippos, crocodiles, and unusual antelope species like sitatunga and red lechwe, while over three hundred bird species make it a year-round paradise for birders.
