The Selinda Suite is essentially your own private safari villa within the massive Selinda Reserve, positioned right on the banks of the Selinda Spillway as it flows into the Linyanti River. While it's technically part of Selinda Camp, it operates completely independently with its own separate entrance, which takes things to a whole different level of exclusivity. You get your own dedicated safari guide, private vehicle, personal chef, and butler throughout your stay, so you're never sharing game drives or dining with anyone else. It can accommodate up to four adults or a family with up to three children in its two separate bedrooms.
The villa itself is a large tented structure raised on wooden decking under thatch, and the design is meant to represent the meeting of three cultures – European, Mokololo, and Bayei. The architectural theme centers around the elements of water, air, earth, and fire, inspired by the traditional thatched village of Sangwali. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with copper tubs, indoor showers, flush toilets, and dressing areas with double basins. The bedrooms can be configured as doubles or twins depending on your needs, and there's solar-powered air-conditioning positioned over the beds along with mosquito netting and standing fans for comfort.
The private veranda is spectacularly spacious and perfect for soaking in the wilderness surroundings at any time of day. Having your own guide means complete flexibility with your schedule – you can go out whenever you want, stay out as long as you like, and focus entirely on your interests whether that's photography, specific wildlife, or just exploring at your own pace. It's about as exclusive as safari gets in Botswana.
