Linyanti Bush Camp Map
The 3 stars given to this camp reflect its simple bush camp style, it is obviously not as opulent as some of its bigger cousins in the central Okavango Delta. This does however reflect in its price as it is generally more economical.
The area is well known for its high concentrations of game, especially in the dry season. The owners are a good safari company with a proven track record and this is evident in the way you are looked after in camp and the experiences on their excellent game drives.
We do however think that the accommodation is perhaps a little pricey for its standard.

Bordering the western boundary of Chobe in the Chobe Enclave, the Linyati Bush Camp is an intimate 12-bedded tented camp on the banks of the Linyati marshes in a private reserve. The camp is limited to small exclusive groups who seek a personalized experience in a private concession away from the main tourist’s routes. Activities from the camp include game drives, walking safaris, game viewing from hides, spot-lighting, bird watching, boating and fishing safaris as well as guided mokoro safaris. Accommodation at the Linyati Bush Camp is far from primitive with spacious tents, comfortable beds, and en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets, fixed showers and hot water.

The Camp provides the perfect atmosphere for an authentic and wild safari experience. Combining simple design with modern comfort and a measure of African elegance, the camp offers a relaxing environment amidst the Wilderness. A small library, bar and lounge area with comfortable sofas ensures that all guests relaxed in a camp style is harkens back to older days when "simple" was better.
The deck gives a full view of the Linyanti floodplains and marsh, where large herds of elephant and buffalo move freely. Outside of the tent is a fire pit at ground level for guests to enjoy an evening drink around whilst listening to the African bush sounds. Here there is a small Splash Pool. The camp is quite open so do not be surprised to see elephant and other animals occasionally wander through the camp.
The camp offers light, airy and tastefully furnished, simple rooms under canvas and on concrete floors.
The meru tents are spacious at 8×5 metres (24×15 feet) and offer a bedroom with large wooden ornate beds under mosquito netting. There is a living area with comfortable sofas and footstools and a nice writing desk.

The Chobe Enclave sits in an area in the middle of the Chode Game Reserve and the Linyanti Reserve. To the north of the Okavango Delta, in the furthest corner of Chobe National Park lies the forgotten paradise of Linyanti.
Secluded and uncrowded, this short strip of swampy river frontage is reminiscent of the Okavango’s permanent waterways with papyrus-lined lagoons, reed-beds and a towering canopy of trees. Bordered by the Linyanti River in the north (at the Namibian border), and the Chobe National Park in the east, the Linyanti reserve covers 1,250 km2 of river, open floodplains and dense forests that protect high concentration of wildlife. The national park only touches the river for a short section on the far eastern edge of the swamp.
